Nanyang residents happiest in Henan

Residents in Nanyang are the happiest in the whole of Henan province, according to an annual report on provincial social governance and development released on July 11.

Published by Henan Xietong Innovation Center, the report is considered one of the most comprehensive and authoritative papers in terms of Henan social governance.

Based on the data collected from Henan's cities and villages in July, August and November in 2015 and in spring in 2016, the average happiness index in Nanyang is 3.96, ranking first in Henan, according to the report.

It also shows that the average happiness index of the cities of Pingdingshan and Zhengzhou rank second and third respectively, with provincial average reaching 3.64.

A high happiness index reflects the feelings of belonging and satisfaction of local residents as well as the levels of government administration, according to experts.
