Wuya, Qianzhuang and Yanshanpu villages in the city of Nanyang, Henan province have been included into a provincial list to receive financial aid, in a bid to preserve their traditional features.
According to the Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Financing departments of Henan, a total of 45 traditional villages in the province have been listed.
All of the traditional villages, with rich historical and cultural heritages and values, have been approved for further protection plans and have received financial aid from the central government.
The three villages are expected to renovate run-down streets, traditional buildings and courtyards, especially those with high historical values.
