Seven projects to make Nanyang greener

When an official conference on city construction was concluded on Oct 14 in Nanyang, Henan province, the local government decided to further beautify the city with seven greening projects.

According to reporters, the city is going to exploit 11,088 mu (739.2 hectares) of lands to build parks, rose-themed tourism gardens, pathways, and green belts.

All the projects are scheduled to be completed by December 2017.

Parks

Lining Sports Park will be renovated in seven sections, and four new ones will be built, which will occupy 1,100 mu.

Tianguan Industrial Relic Park will be built as an innovative park based on the industrial relics, and will cover 98 mu.

Wancheng Han Relic Park will be themed around cultural relics, and will be expanded to 202 mu.

Tourism Gardens will be built in the communities and townships neighboring these parks.

Green avenues

East Liangxiang Road, a viaduct on West Zhongzhou Road, north branch of Nanyang Sports Center, Binhe Road, and East Zhangheng Road will be planted with trees, and Xincheng Road, Fanli Road, Bailixi Road, and Guangwu Road will be renovated.
