Yajiangkou: first National-level Water Engineering Institute

Yajiangkou Reservoir passed the inspection of experts from the water engineering bureau on Nov 18, to become a National-level Water Engineering Management Institute.

Located in the north of Nanyang, Henan province, Yajiangkou Reservoir is the primary resource for potable water in Nanyang, as well as a major flood-control project along the Baihe River.

In order to meet the national standard for water engineering management institutes, the local government has adapted an innovative system of normalization and scientific management, improving the facility's construction and technological supports.

The reservoir, therefore, has seen various improvements, not only for the environment, but more for the water engineering service capacity, becoming a new leader in the field of water resource management.

As the first national-level water engineering institute, Yajiangkou is expected to usher in a new era for the water engineering industry in Nanyang.
