Nanyang railway renovations to affect operations

After months of preparation, Nanyang Railway Station began renovations on Nov 25.

According to the Nanyang train operations depot, the number of platforms won't be increased, but three of the platforms will be elevated into higher positions. In addition, extra escalators and elevators will be added according to the new lay-out.

Affected by the construction, 44 trains terminated operations according to the newly released train table on Nov 24.

A spokeperson from the depot said, "The station is scheduled to be renovated and expected to resume full operations in late 2018."
