2016 marks the 95th anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Party-related culture, known as "red culture" in China, is still proactively promoted, to memorialize the party's contribution and sacrifices for the nation.

Wang Zhenwu, a 66-year-old man from Nanyang, Henan province, has done a great job preserving red culture with an amazing private collection of more than 10,000 Chairman Mao badges, about 200 portraits of Mao, over 1,000 of Mao's books, and some 1,000 different pictures of Mao.

Obsessed with red culture, Wang has spent his spare time searching for related remnants since the late 1980s.

"The objects witnessed historical stories, and remind us to remember those who fight for the country," said Wang.

After nearly 30 years, Wang's collection has accumulated to an amazing amount, arousing wide attention and media coverage.

At the same time, Wang has devoted himself to promoting red culture, attending related seminars and taking part in the compilation of the book, Insights into Chairman Mao Badges.

Wang also donated some of his collection for the featured exhibitions to memorialize the 70th anniversary of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1937-45)  in 2015, and the 80th anniversary of the Long March.

"I dream of establishing an exhibition hall as a red culture promotion center, helping later generations to learn more about it," Wang added.
