Nanyang art troupe shines at Inner Mongolian festival

At the invitation of the Erlianhaote municipal government, the Xinghai Art Troupe of the Nanyang Mass Arts Center recently attended the 4th Inner Mongolia·Erlianhaote International Cultural Tourism Festival.

The festival opened on July 16, inviting four art troupes from countries and regions along the "Tea Road", including Russia, Mongolia, Jiujiang and Nanyang.

The Nanyang session of the event opened at Dinosaur Square on July 18 with the gentle tones of the folk song "Jiuliandeng". Three acts followed, displaying the natural environment, culture and contemporary life of Nanyang.

"I have lived in Erlianhaote for 40 years, but it is the first time I saw such a fantastic evening show," said a villager from Zhoukou, Henan province.

According to Wang Jing, director of the Erlianhaote Culture, Broadcasting, Press and Sport Bureau, the "New Chapter of the Tea Road" brought by Xinghai Art Troupe is likely to be chosen as the official theme song of the festival.
