(chinadaily.com.cn) Updated: 2017-11-20

A delegation from the Europe-China Commercial Union and Montpellier Business School visited Nanyang on Nov 9, seeking cooperation with Nanyang Normal University and Nanyang Institute of Technology in master programs.

Founded in 1897, Montpellier Business School is one of the world's oldest management schools, and ranks among the top 10 in France and top 50 in the world. It is triple-accredited by AACSB, EPAS and AMBA, three of the largest and most influential business school accreditation associations.

According to Wang Wei, chief executive of the Europe-China Commercial Union, the purpose of the visit was to build a bridge between Chinese and French universities and bring advantageous educational resources to China. The two Nanyang universities showed keen interest in the cooperative programs and arranged for promotional conferences to be held in the near future.

Pascal Krupka, vice president of Montpellier Business School, and professor Cyril Foropon introduced the university, its cooperative programs, curriculums and preparatory work before enrollment to more than 200 students from the Departments of Foreign Languages, and Economics and Management at Nanyang Normal University.

Just like Nanyang Normal University, Montpellier Business School has a long history and rich teaching resources. In pursuit of openness, diversification and all-round development, the school hopes to cooperate more with Chinese universities, Pascal said.

As the delegation continued on their journey, they visited Nanyang Institute of Technology where they were warmly received by Zhang Yinqin, vice president of the university. Nanyang Institute of Technology highly values the cooperation with foreign universities. Taking advantage of this opportunity, it expects that two institutions of higher education can learn from each other, Zhang said.

Talks were held between the two parties to discuss tuition, foreign teachers and learning periods.
