Exports of agricultural products in Xixia county, Nanyang has doubled in value from the same period last year to reach $120 million in November, according to the Nanyang Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.
Xixia is the first county in Henan province to see its export value of agricultural products to exceed $100 million. Of the total, the export of local mushrooms contributed $87.45 million. This achievement is thanks in part to the preferential policies and business environment the government has provided.
Named a National Demonstration City for Quality of Export Agricultural Products in 2011, Xixia's agricultural product export enterprises are spared the trouble of putting raw material production bases on the records of the Nanyang Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau. Encouraged by that, 13 more export enterprises have settled in Xixia this year alone.
The bureau has also increased its customs clearance efficiency by reducing the sampling rate and streamlining its quarantine procedures, helping to complete an agricultural industrial chain in the county. Plantation, harvest, processing, logistics, inspection and quarantine, customs clearance, and tax rebates can all be completed in Xixia, bringing great convenience to its local export enterprises.
