Sixth Nanyang Municipal People's Congress concludes

The 6th Session of the 5th Nanyang Municipal People's Congress rounded off at the Nanyang Convention Center on Jan 7.

During the meeting, 84 attendees were inducted as deputies to the Municipal People's Congress by a secret ballot and Wang Yi was selected as the director of the Nanyang Supervisory Commission.

Yang Qichang, director of the Standing Committee of the Nanyang Municipal People's Congress, extended hopes that the newly-elected deputies will give their all for the cause and perform their duties in accordance with the law.

The selection of the director marks a vital step towards the reform of Nanyang's supervisory system, said Yang, urging both the municipal and county People's Congress to support the commission's work and help push ahead with the reform.
