Nanyang Rose Park in final preparations for WFRS Regional Convention

Landscaping of the Nanyang Rose Park is expected to be completed by the end of June, with all roses and other plants in their rightful places. This will lay a solid foundation for the park's opening during the middle of March, 2019.

Located in the intersection of the Ligao and East Ring roads, Nanyang Rose Park will be a major venue for the World Federation of Rose Societies (WFRS) Regional Convention next year, which is scheduled to take place in the city from April 27 to May 2.

With a total investment of 1.3 billion yuan ($207.1 million), it is positioned to be a rose exhibition area that functions simultaneously as a zone for leisure, entertainment and popularizing science. The park will be divided into three parts, with each section taking on different roles.

The eastern section will be the park's core area. In addition to a service center, it will have a lake, museum and corridor, all rose themed. The western area will stage a variety of roses and rockeries, while the northern one will center on scientific research.
