Deep Breath Small Cities award sees Neixiang's potential

Neixiang county, Nanyang was selected as candidate for Top 100 Deep Breath Small Cities award in 2018, according to a publication released by the China Society of Territorial Economists recently.

Founded in 2014, the award only recognizes counties or county-level cities with an exceptional air quality. The industrial and functional zones in large or mediums cities can also be nominated if they have outstanding ecological environment.

Specifically, the nominees are expected to have high vegetation coverage, large proportion of days recorded with excellent or fine air quality, strong concentration of negative oxygen ion in outdoor spaces, good levels of comfort in landscaping areas plus low incidences of smog.

Up next, public opinions will be solicited, and further evaluation will be conducted by experts before the announcement of the finalists on May 19, which is known as China Tourism Day.
