Large graphite deposit discovered in Xichuan

The Xiadapa graphite deposit, located in Xichuan county, Nanyang, has been identified by the Department of Land and Resources of Henan Province as the largest in Henan province.

The Xiadapa graphite deposit, discovered two years ago by the Henan Geology and Mineral Bureau, has reserves of 12.98 million tons, and is considered a "super large" deposit.

Graphite has been playing an increasingly important role in economic and social development in recent years as a strategic new mineral. It is often used as a raw material for high-end precision instruments.

The research shows that the east-west Xiadapa graphite ore has a length of 2,000 meters and a buried depth varying from 0 to 219 meters. The graphite has a fixed carbon content of up to 18.82 percent for a single sample.
