Nanyang celebrated its first Farmers' Harvest Festival on Sept 23, the day of the Autumnal Equinox.
The Autumnal Equinox is one of the 24 solar terms of the Chinese lunar calendar and usually falls between Sept 22 and 24. Earlier this year, it was designated a special festival to greet the harvest season and honor agricultural workers.
Farmers across Nanyang celebrate the festival with a series of activities ranging from product exhibitions and cultural performances to sports meets.
