"It took me just five minutes to get my temporary license plate. It's so fast", said a Nanyang local surnamed Liu. In the morning, Liu took his vehicle certificate, invoice, ID card, and insurance policy to apply for a temporary license, and he received it in just five minutes.

A businessman surnamed Cao had a similar reaction, saying that it took him just 10 minutes to complete all procedures related to renewing his business license.

According to Li Xianyang, manager of the business registration window, Nanyang's industry and commerce department has implemented a number of measures to provide greater convenience to people in the city. The move is in response to the city's call to cut red tape and promote online government service platforms. Over 50 Items requiring municipal government review can now be done with at most one visit to government offices.
