South-to-North Water Diversion Project in 2011

Jan 4, 2011: Three sections of the diversion channel engineering (East Jinan Section, Sihu Lake-Dongping Lake Section and North Shandong Section) of the Water Diversion East Route Project started, marking the commencement of the main work in Shandong.

Jan 18, 2011: The supporting frame structure was successfully constructed across the Beijing-Shanghai Railway, which was the biggest challenge in the Tianjin section of the Middle Route Project. Upon its completion, the construction work of the main canals in Tianjin moved into the final crucial phase.

March 30, 2011: After a five-month trial operation, the sewage treatment plant of the East Route Project in the Peixian Economic Development Zone started to run formally.

Nov 8, 2011: The Beijing Investment Center of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project was officially founded.
