Nanyang gets a legal education model county

Sheqi county in Nanyang city, Henan province has been approved as a national advanced county for its legal publicity and education work during 2011-15, according to an announcement by central government authorities on May 26.

Officials attributed the success to the constant efforts made by the county government.

Based on economic stability and social harmony, the county has carried out several activities to improve legal awareness for locals and explore an optimal way for Sheqi to develop its legal system.

Thanks to the authority's publicity of legal knowledge, Sheqi has built a reputation of legal fairness and justice, establishing 27 provincial-level model villages, 11 city-level model towns and 65 advanced groups.
