Nanyang per capita disposable income grows in H1

The per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents in Nanyang reached 8,293.3 yuan ($1,240.7) in the first half of 2017, up 9.3 percent year-on-year, it was announced by the Nanyang Municipal Statistics Bureau.

Individually, the per capita disposable income of urban residents reached 14,446.2 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.3 percent, while that of rural residents increased by 8.5 percent to reach 4,463 yuan.

In the first six months of this year, the per capita wage for urban households is 7,973.7 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.5 percent, while that of rural households 1,803.4 yuan, up 8.7 percent year-on-year.

As the central and local government rolled out a series of policies to support agriculture, rural residents saw the operating income of their businesses increase by 3.3 percent to reach 772 yuan, fostering the growth of per capita disposable income.

Increasing net property and transfer incomes are two other factors that contributed to the rise of disposable income. One mainly comes from interests, bonus and rent, and the other benefits from the improved social security system.
