The 19th medical aid team comprised of top-notch doctors from Nanyang's 3A-grade hospitals donated $100,000 worth of medical supplies to Zambian hospitals on Jan 17.
Daniel Makawa, representative of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Zambia, Ouyang Daobing, commercial counselor of Chinese embassy in Zambia, and officials from Nanyang Health and Family Planning Commission attended the donation ceremony.

In accordance with an agreement between China and Zambia, 28 Nanyang doctors were dispatched by the Health and Family Planning Commission of Henan Province in last May to extend a year-long medical aid.
The multidisciplinary team sent by Nanyang consisted of cardiovasologists, neurologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, acupuncturists and experts of other medical fields. They were tasked to bring advanced Chinese medical technologies and methods to local hospitals.
As of November 2017, the medical aid team had already performed 2,345 operations, received 8,838 outpatients and taken part in five emergency medical rescues in Zambia.
