The exit and entry administration division of the Nanyang Public Security Bureau has streamlined the application procedures for immigration documents, allowing local residents to complete the entire process in one trip.
The policy will be applied to applications for passports, the Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao, the Travel Permit for Mainlanders to Enter and Exit Taiwan and endorsements. The procedure consists of photo collection, application submission, fingerprint collection, face-to-face verification, and payment.
According to an official from the exit-entry division, citizens only need to bring their ID card to complete the application procedure. To save time, applicants can make reservations and fill in the application form at http://bsdt.henanga.gov.cn or http://ga.nanyang.gov.cn in advance. They can get their exit-entry documents by either going to the exit-entry administration division themselves or via express delivery.
For the convenience of office workers, the exit-entry administration reception hall also accepts applications on Saturdays. In addition to off-peak services, their working hours will also be prolonged before holidays.
In addition, expedited service is now available for 10 situations, including the original four – attending funerals, treating serious illnesses, visiting critically-ill patients, and handling overseas emergencies. The other six include meetings abroad, emergency negotiations, contract-signing, school registration, and lost or damaged documents before travelling.
At present, Nanyang has already established four reception halls (at Nanyang Wolong Civilian Service Center, Wancheng Administration Service Center, Zhongjing Road, and the intersection of Zhongzhou Road and South Guangchang Street) for exit-entry documents application, which offer free photo collection and printing services.
