Eight buildings in Nanyang were on the list of "the most beautiful architectures in Henan", capturing the most spots on the list of 125 buildings, according to a press conference held by the Information Office of Henan Provincial People's Government.
The activity was mainly sponsored by the Henan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Henan Daily, in order to promote local city construction and architecture.
Government officials, social groups, enterprises of architecture, and local residents took an active role in the list and voted for the buildings.
According to Pei Zhiyang, head of the Henan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, a commendation meeting will be held in November and all of the listed building developers will be bestowed medals and certificates.
